Here at Central Church, we believe authentic community is essential to becoming a passionate follower of Jesus. We also believe healthy small groups create a place where authentic community can be formed. Small Groups is the primary way through which our “Love Each Other” core value is addressed.
While small groups typically discuss and touch on biblical principles, the emphasis is not primarily on Bible study. Instead, the primary focus is on building deep, meaningful relationships---the kind to where if your life caves in at 3:00 a.m., there’s someone (or someones) you can pick up the phone and call.
God didn’t make us to “go it alone”. He designed us to profit and grow from meaningful interaction with others on the same journey.
Small groups at Central Church are self-determining. They are free to meet at any time except Sunday mornings during Bible classes and worship gatherings. We also ask them not to meet on the fourth Sunday night of each month so that everyone can attend our Concert of Prayer.
Groups also establish the frequency and location of their meetings. Some meet twice a month---some weekly. Some meet in a consistent location---some rotate.
If you’d like to be a part of a small group, please email us at info@centralchurch.tv. Two or three times a year we have an event called StartUp designed to develop the core of a new small group or help you discover the group that’s right for you. Drop us an email, check back here, or subscribe to our weekly emails so that you can know when our next StartUp is scheduled.
